How We're Working Safely During Coronavirus

At Buttercrumble, we work tirelessly to nurture the community we’re so grateful for. In the last few months, we have experienced an unprecedented crisis. It has affected the businesses we partner with — around the world — and we have shared this impact.

In March 2020 we decided to follow Government’s advice on home-working in order to prevent the spread of the virus. Remote working is no new phenomenon to us and we’ve been fortunate to operate as “normal” over the last few months.

Buttercrumble is now forward-planning, following Government advice, to return to the studio. Again, we are passionate about serving our community with the very best service. The team understands how important it is that we can all work safely and support health and wellbeing during the pandemic.

Making Our Studio Space Safer

As a small team, we can be agile to change and limit interactions with others. Buttercrumble will be implementing the following actions to reduce the risk to the team, our wider office community, and visitors:

  • Increased frequency of hand-washing and surface cleaning

  • Using side-to-side working (rather than face-to-face) at 2m distance

  • Cleaning of telephones between use

  • Reduced sharing of equipment and maintained, dedicated desk spaces

  • Encouragement to bring self-prepared, cold, packed-lunches to reduce time in common areas

  • Encouragement to store personal items and clothing in personal lockers

Reducing Studio Time

We will complete necessary work at the studio and continue to work from home as much as possible. Therefore, our new reduced studio times will be:

  • Tuesday — Thursday (10am — 3pm)

Welcoming Visitors

As social distancing restrictions are lifted, we would love to welcome our partners (old and new) to the studio. We will continue to monitor Government advice on social distancing to ensure the safety of our visitors and Buttercrumble is actively encouraging remote working tools to avoid in-person meetings.

If an in-person meeting is necessary, we are:

  • Inviting only necessary participants to attend meetings and maintaining 2m separation throughout

  • Avoiding transmission during meetings, through sharing pens, documents, refreshments or other objects

  • Providing hand sanitiser in meeting rooms

  • Holding meetings outdoors or in well-ventilated rooms whenever possible

  • Maintaining a record of all visitors through the reception

  • Providing clear guidance on social distancing and hygiene to people on arrival, for example, signage or visual aids and before arrival, for example, by phone, on the website or by email.

We are set to return to the studio on: Tuesday 7th July 2020.
